About

Tolentino Suites - Rome

Tolentino Suites - Rome is a three-star, B&B-style property set on the second floor of a residential building in central Rome. It sits near the entertainment district, a five-minute walk from the Palace of Expositions, with Wi-Fi throughout and public parking available nearby.

The accommodation is compact: junior suites, deluxe doubles and one suite, each with air conditioning, heating and parquet floors. Guests eat breakfast in their room, and the small scale means most interactions are with the host directly, who is singled out again and again for being welcoming.

In brief

What works, what to weigh

+

Strengths

3 reasons to book
  • Excellent central location — The hotel is about a five-minute walk from the Palace of Expositions, and guests describe the Trevi Fountain as five minutes on foot and the Spanish Steps as ten. A metro station on the A line is around 100 metres away.
  • A host who goes the extra mile — Multiple reviewers name Joey (or Joe) as welcoming, attentive and efficient — helping with bookings, arranging transport, showing rooms and bringing breakfast each morning.
  • Spotless, well-kept rooms — Guests repeatedly call the rooms clean, comfortable and faithful to the photos, with parquet floors, kettles, minibars and flat-screen TVs as standard.

Worth weighing

3 to weigh
  • Specific check-in and check-out windows — Check-in is only between 14:30 and 22:00, and check-out is between 08:00 and 10:00, which leaves little flexibility for early arrivals or late departures.
  • A B&B inside an apartment building — Guests describe it as a bed-and-breakfast, and one notes it sits on the second floor of a residential building rather than a full-service hotel. The intimate setup is part of its charm, but it may surprise guests expecting a conventional lobby.
  • No pets and no on-site parking — Pets are not allowed, and parking is only mentioned as public parking nearby, not as a dedicated hotel garage. Guests arriving by car should plan ahead.

“A truly memorable stay — far better than expected. The location was ideal, with the main sights within a short walk and plenty of restaurants and evening options nearby. The rooms felt spacious and spotless, with comfortable beds and a well-kept bathroom. Staff were friendly and attentive, and breakfast was a pleasant extra with a decent range of choices. Excellent value for money.”

“Fantastic place to stay. We turned up at 1pm and host Joey immediately checked our booking and upgraded us to a suite with a large bedroom, lovely bathroom and separate living room — at no extra cost. He also showed us the deluxe room we'd reserved, which was lovely too, if not quite as spacious. Every morning a knock at the door brought breakfast, with warm croissants that were divine, along with a chat about the day ahead. Rooms were cleaned daily and towels changed; everything was immaculate. We've stayed in many hotels in this part of Rome, and none match this for the price. Counting down until we return.”

“Great location, a comfortable room, and friendly, helpful staff.”

“Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, which made the stay even better. The location felt perfect — the main sights of Rome were within easy walking distance, and having a metro station right by the hotel made exploring very easy. Rooms were comfortable and clean, with thoughtful touches like a chilled bottle of sparkling wine in the bathroom. Free Wi-Fi and included breakfast were great bonuses, though the breakfast selection was a little limited.”

“Joey, the caretaker, was exceptionally helpful and well organised. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. I'd recommend it in the strongest terms and plan to stay again.”

“Lucky to have found this place — it doesn't show up among the most-booked hotels, but the location is gorgeous: 5 minutes to the Trevi Fountain, 10 to the Spanish Steps, and about 30 minutes or three metro stops to the Vatican. The A-line metro is a two-minute walk from the door. We stayed in the Trevi Suite, which is just right for two: a cosy room with high ceilings, and a clean bathroom with shower corner, toilet, bidet and basin overlooking a quiet courtyard. Free Wi-Fi was much appreciated — something you often pay extra for in Italian hotels. Also enjoyed the welcome from Joey and the breakfasts each morning.”
